Headers

I have had the Pacesetter headers on my car for awhile now, and i was wondering what anybody else who has them did about there accesory mounting brackets that mounted to there stock manifolds? I currently dont have them on the car. Not sure if this is a problem in the long run. Thanks

Re: Headers

Other than the air pump, everything else bolts up quite nicely (although I don't have A/C and that may cause an issue). I currently have about 50,000 km on the car and no problems.

Hope that helps.

Re: Headers

you mean the braces that went to the manifold bolts? you should be alright without them. I don't have them on my car...haven't for years.

Re: Headers

Yah those are the ones I was talking about AM91. I havent been running them since I installed my headers either. I was just curious if anybody doing the same had had any troubles.
I havent yet.

Re: Headers

if there is a problem, you can use a threaded stud and some nuts in place of the header bolt, provided the brackets sandwich on with the header bolts.

Re: Headers

i took off countless brackets that were on my motor when i did the headers and other mods and havent had any prblems yet either, the only one i have been worried about is the bracket from the plenum to the ac compressor. since i have a 3.4 intake plenum on mine there is no where to bolt that bracket so i got rid of it.
