v6 on the rag
I have an 85 camaro with a 2.8l v6. i was driving and suddenly it started surging REALLY hard. i can NOT drive it because of this severe surging. The scanner refuses to show data, only a few values read correctly, there's about 12 codes, incuding one for an incorrect prom. if I put the car in limp mode with my scanner it runs 1000 times better. does this sound like an ECM problem? (I did wash the engine earlier today but it ran fine for like half an hour to an hour afterwards) or maybe related to the washin?

Re: v6 on the rag
If you get 12 codes, or more than about 5, then it's a good bet you need to replace the ECM.
