2 wire CTS(switch type for idiot lights) to 1 wire sending unit...
Need to know how to wire this up right...basically the sending unit is only 1 wire, the switch was 2, differnent connector type too, the sending unit is pretty much like the oil pressure sending unit and switch, or the fan relay on the one head, I don't know how to wire it up right, it has a brown and yellow wire on the original connector...

You'll need to dig through your wiring harness near the fuel injector harness connector. The coolant temp switch/sender is supposed to be in the driver's side head, in the same hole that the aux fan switch is in on the other head, but behind where the A/C compressor would be. The connector is a weird one, and is on a GREEN wire. Should just swap the switch for the sender, unless the connector is different. The other one, the 2-wire, is the one for the ECM, and should be left alone, as you kind of need it.

How do I tell the difference between the fan relay and the coolant sending unit? Also I cannot find the fricking pigtail connector the newer style alternator and need it to splice in the wiring...any chance you have a pic of one? Trying to finish my car tomorrow...and hitting a ton of stupidass tiny snags that will keep it from being driveable....and the shop messed up 3-4 things too...

The fan relay is mounted by the brake booster and the sending unit screws into the driver's side head
. I'll see if I can get a pic of mine tomorrow (or what used to be mine
).
The connector for the alternator has 4 terminals in it and one of them has a white plastic plug in part of the connector on the alternator side. I think it's the red wire connector, but don't hold me to it. I'll dig through my box of spare connectors for the 91 harness and get you a pic.
How bad did the shop do?

Actually, in stock form it is...have to remember, I've had my heads off a couple times....and the one I pulled from the intake manifold looks identical to the new one except the one prong...also I am honestly not sure I have two head sensors, I think only one head has a sensor, but I will check when its light out.
And as for the alternator, I FINALLY tracked down that sob pigtail, it actually only has 1 red wire coming out the top(its def not missing any wires either), my old setup had a 2 wire connector, with one wire being a loop ground(not sure where it goes...?) and the other going to the harness, so not quite sure what to do there, also have another loop connector that I am almost sure goes to the alternator terminal.
And how do you generally pull back tensioners to put a new belt on?
My wiring situation atm is hell....thought I knew where everything went better than i do...

Alright I double checked, I only have 1 sensor in 1 head, I def did misplace it though as I think I just found the connector for it, green wire going to a black tip near where the AC condensor wires are...but it should stretch over there anyway...But I might have to extend it, and I still need some help with the alternator wire up now that I found the connector, also having a fun time trying to get the old oil pressure switch out.
