Recently my car randomly puffs blue smoke under acceleration I thought it was valve stem seal's but thought if it was It would smoke on start up. I'm going to be putting a 260 grind cam from delta and a new timing chain so I might as well re-ring the engine. The engine has very low mile's on it (28,000) so not sure why it's smoking but does anyone know of a good place to get a re-ring kit for the engine?

Disassemble the engine first, before you order any re-ring kit. You gotta make sure you're okay re-using the stock pistons first! There's a good chance you might need oversize pistons, so you don't want to order the wrong kit

You need to know what size rings and bearings to order. I have ordered several rebuild kits from Northern Auto Parts. Fast delivery, best prices I've found(for a 350 at least), and great customer service!
For your 2.8:

I'm going to disassemble the engine first before I order anything. It didn't smoke at all prior to sitting for so long. And it holds compression at around 150 psi on each cylinder so I believe the pistons should be okay to reuse.

If its holding that much compression, I wouldn't even bother with a rering kit. Just replace the oil seals on the heads and put new intake and head gaskets in it. Maybe clean up the piston tops a bit in the bores if they are dirty. But I wouldn't bother with anything more than that.
Could the valve stem seals be causing the random puff of blue smoke while accelerating?
