Full Inspection of car

I want to have my whole car looked at, from buymper to bumper. I want to see how all of my parts are, and if anything needs to be replaced, or if somethingis going. Would a garage do this, and how much would it cost?

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6

Sure, a garage would do it, but chances are they'll try to swing you into what they call a tuneup. They're not going to be able to tell much about the engine or transmission... they could run a compression test or leakdown test on the engine, but that's about it.

Either of those two tests would tell you the condition of your engine's rings/valves.. the compression test isn't as accurate but it gives a good idea.
