Anyone know where I could get...
some electrical parts for my ignition?? While I was doing my last tune up, I didn't realize that the two connectors on the remote mount coil were in a way stuck on there together and I ended up breaking the clips off of them. So now the connectors come loose every so often (especially the gray one) and the tach dies, and soon after the car. Once I push the connector back in, the car starts and runs fine until it comes loose again. Right now I have them taped down to the coil, but even that comes loose with the heat and everything in there. So does anyone have any ideas on where I could get those two connectors??? I looked at the MSD GM external HEI harness to see if that connector would work, but it's only the black one.

Next generation carries some connectors. www.nextgenparts.com I would suggest getting one of the extracting tools also (it pushes your old pins out of the connectors so you can slide them into the new ones no splicing of wires. Other that that try some salvage yards.

I've seen them at Pep Boys- for $18 a connector! I agree with CC.. hit the junkyards.
Altho I don't think you can push the pins out of the coil connector. They're not like the usual GM style of weatherpack connector.
In fact, that tool isn't really needed. Next time you have a weatherpack connector off (oxy sensor, MAF sensor, TPS sensor, etc etc), look at the pins. You'll see the pin, then you'll see a tiny hole above it. If you shove a thin, stiff, solid piece of wire (like steel utility wire) into the hole, you'll disengage the clip holding the pin inside the weatherpack. Then you push on the pin with a screwdriver "moderately hard), and it slides backwards.

Yeah, unfortunately these aren't the same weatherpack type connectors. The pins look like a home 120 V plug, only smaller. I guess I'll keep screwing with the tape for now, and check the junkyard later. Thanks for the help.

gotta love GM's underhood electrical connectors.. how brittle the plastic becomes over time.. i did the same thing, but i wound up getting a remote accell supercoil, and spliced some wires up, i dont even have the connectors anymore...
