My weekend
Well, Saturday I welded up the frame for the creeper.. came out nice! I'm using 1/2" rectangular tubing, it's 37" long by 16 inches wide. Next weekend I'll figure out a way to mount the casters.. I want this thing skimming over the ground.
Sunday I picked up the bracket that holds the air conditioning & power steering pump to the 2.8 motor. This is the one for '85-86 cars without serpentine belts. I've pulled my a/c, and the bracket's looked "naked" there- you can tell it was holding something. So I'll cut this junkyard one up to "remove" the a/c section.
I also tried to convert my homemade pressure bleeder (from my axle swap) to work on my master cylinder. As usual, I spilled brake fluid everywhere, and re-introduced air into the rear brakes. The cut I made in my spare cap & gasket wound up tearing the gasket- and I didn't notice. The pressurized fluid got between the cap & gasket, and spilled out- all down the garage floor. So I ran to clean that up, and forgot I had opened the RR bleeder screw.
Now I get the f'ing brake light when I come to a stop. Last night, I figured out a better way to put the hole (for the grommet & hose) in the master cylinder cap's gasket. So when I get home, I'm going to buy another gasket & cap, and try this pressure bleeder again. Wish me luck!
