More on the TV cable

This is kind of an expansion of Jason E's thread - How do you know when the TV cable is adjusted correctly? Do you just have to drive it and decide it is good when it drives like you think it should?

Vortex, the cable's adjusted properly when you do the re-adjustment procedure. For kicks, you can mark where the rectangle slides into the adjuster with white-out. Then, when you're done with the re-adjustment procedure, you can see how far off your TV cable was. If the whiteout is too far forward, you were getting a harder & later shift. If the whiteout is now inside the adjuster, your trans was adjusted for low fluid pressure, which gives you an earlier & softer shift, as well as burn up the clutches faster.

IROC, the detailed explaination of adjusting the TV cable was given in the message titled "Tom P, Brian K, Graeme's, etc".
