I think I've read that somewhere as well... Might need to shave some metal here and there (needs to be narrower, or something) but they should work.

Gah... I need to reread all my books. I'm getting rusty.

Well, I -thought- the CompCams part #'s were the same. Turns out that they differ by one digit... and I don't mean the count. The rockers for the v6 are 1413-12 (1.52) and 1414-12 (1.60). The v8's are 1412-16 (1.52) and 1416-16 (1.60). Originally I thought the only difference was for the # showing the count of rockers you get, -12 or -16.

Oh also, the rockers for a Chevy V6, 200-262 CI, are 1412-12 and 1416-16. That matches the v8 ones, where the only difference is the count.

So basically (I can be longwinded eh?) that means the 173/2.8 V6 rockers are different from the 200-262 V6 rockers.

But as Dan84SC said, that difference could very well be minor. It might have to do with the fact that the 173/2.8 rockers are listed for a 10mm rocker stud, while the v8 ones are for a 3/8" stud. Of course as we all know, the 10mm and 3/8" sockets are pretty much interchangable.

Oooh, second thought, maybe that part # change is related to what Kevin S said- CompCams gives you new nuts for the rocker arm studs. It might be because of the metric vs SAE threaded nuts in the box.
