I got my tranny mount in the mail today and put it on took 5 hours to frekin put in first the bolts were soo tight it took for ever to get off. Then i got it off and the new mont wouldnt line up right so i hada make the hole for the mount in the crossmember bigger. Tehn i got it on nad hada use 2 jacks 1 to support the tranny and one to jack up the crossmember. Then a wheel fell off my frekin jack that was scarey. but its on and it works now i know how to do it.... and one again a new problme has arrised i can hear my lifters like there is no tommorw so when my engine goes then ill worry about it

After having to replace my clutch, all I can say is if you haven't done them before, trannies are a major PITA without a lift. I had my car on jackstands for three days while I took everything apart and it wasn't difficult, but it was very very time consuming having to support everything and protect the spline, etc.... Even the tranny mount can be a huge PITA. But now that you've formed that bond with your car, you will love it all the more.

I hate when that happens... so many times, a quick job turns into a long job, for a stupid reason.

I had to replace my starter last year, and already had plans for the night with some friends. I told my girl "Oh I've done this before, you just unbolt the old and bolt in the new, it'll take maybe an hour."

Of course the bolt on the solenoid that holes the electrical wires was frozen shut; I actually cracked the solenoid trying to twist the bolt- the bolt fell off the solenoid with the wires still attached. So then I had to power up the cut-off tool to cut the nut off. Then I put my "spare" starter back up, wired it all together, and found out somehow it was busted. 5 hours later, I was in some deep trouble with my girl and the car still wasn't working! (Bought another starter in the morning.)
