TV Cable - Theory 101
TV Cable - Theory 101
Okay. I read those posts about 50 times and finally I think I adjusted it right. I pushed the button, flipped the throttle all the way down, and the little square thing that is around the cable came about 2 inches out of the bracket. So I took it out and drove it, and the car shifted at 3500 rpm, and no matter what I did, it wouldn't rev any higher (unless in neutral). Now, I pushed the button, pushed the square thing back in, and a little further. The car shifts where it should @ WOT - 5500 from 1 to 2. Now my theory is, the farther out that little square thing around the cable is, the sooner the shift. The further back, the later. Is this correct? Did I adjust it right?

From the way you have described here you came close. When you push the button in,push the square thing in(towards the plenum) as far as it will go.Let go of the button THEN move the throttle forward. The cable adjuster will ratchet forward. Then take a spin around the block and see what happens.
