It is done! In less then 2 hours!

I changed my heater core this morning. Not to bad.The screw/bolt/whatever at the top of the box WAS a pain in the *** .The hardest part was getting the hoses to let go of the old core.
Then some dumbass on a riding mower decides he is going to go thru the alley(which is where I am parked),he runs over my dash pad then side swipes my car. I wanted to beat the living hell out of that SOB.He didn't stop to say ****.So I called the police.
He didn't scratch the car.But he destroyed my dash pad.I told the officer that I just got that dash pad not 3 months ago.
The SOB agreed to give my $100.00 That was fine with me.THis parts car I found for...$100.00 with all the interior I need for mine, including a NEW dash pad, tail lights and a 3.73 posi.
Damn if I ain't happy now

That's awesome! (About the 2 hours and the $$.) Did he hand you the $$ right there, or do you need to fight thru the court for it? That's a damn shame that people are so inconsiderate... I've got plenty of door dings from them- and I think I'm glad I didn't actually "catch them in the act."

I think when I get my injectors back from Cruzin Performance, I'll put my 195 thermostat back in- I can't stand this cold weather.

You were able to find out that you -do- have a 3.73/posi in that car? Cool!

At first I thought he was going to say he didn't do it.I was ready to jump down his throat if he did. When the officer asked him why he didn't stop the SOB just stared at him.I don't think this SOB's elevator goes all the way to the top .
But,he told me(and the cop)he would have it for me by friday.I agreed with that.
The officer said if I didn't hear from him(the SOB)by Sat morning to give him a call.
My future wife works with this officers step daughter. So calling him won't be a problem.
As for the rear end,I'm not sure how to tell if it is a 3.73 posi. The dude who has it swears by it.Even if it isn't a posi,I will more then likely buy it.I can sell what I can then junk the rest.
