Anyone run at the track with the FPR vacuum line plugged?
I've heard you get can a mild gain by yanking the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and plugging it... just wondering if anyone's done it.
I snapped the plastic vacuum line from the TB to the EGR equipment when I did the injectors (tried to flex it, and it didn't want to!). I used rubber vacuum hose to tie the TB to the EGR equipment, and noticed last night that it had fallen off the EGR side.
That supply line goes from the EGR equip to the throttle body, and to the fuel pressure regulator. So altho I had a vacuum leak, I also had no vacuum going to the FPR. I put it back on, and the car seemed to ping a bit- I'm wondering if I lost some power, and if I should plug that line at the track.

Hey, are you hitting the track tonight? I am interested to see what the injectors did for ya... I know you aready do this but serious remove the floor mats, spare tire, over inflate the front tires and run the rear at exact psi cold.... Remove any stereo crap and launch at 1800-2200 RPM...

No, I'm not going tonight... last time i went on Wednesday, I ran around like a madman! I left work early, went to the gym early, and had to run home... by the time I got to the track, it was 8:00, and the lines were long as hell! Screw that!
So instead if the weather's good, I hope to hit the track Friday.. I'll leave work as normal, and I don't go to the gym that day anyway. So even if I run worse than I ever did, I won't be as out of breath.
Hey check this out, though, over at the TPI board. I could never get my TPS to register past 4.28 for WOT; maybe this is another reason why my car's not doing well! https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/000437.html
I might try this tonite; if I get WOT voltage up to what ProblemChild says, I might put it back to the 4.28 volts, and re-adjust it at the racetrack, between runs.
