Might visit Racetrack Friday- I don't want to break again- help??

Guys, I'd apprecaite it if you could throw any ideas at me as regards this problem I posted on the tech board:
https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/002635.html

The car's acting fine ever since. Could I just have gotten bad gas? But the car still ran fine with the same gas as I was running my tests... could I have had a "pocket" of bad gas inside the tank, that was sitting around the pump's pickup?

But then why wouldn't the "pocket" of bad gas have moved when the car moved?

Help... I don't want to break at the tree again, and this looks like one of those intermittant things-- you know, one of those where it breaks at the worst time.

Thanks in advance!!

Have ya tried fuel additives, running the tank low, changing the fuel filter?

Well I got the STP treatment in there to remove water- I'll definately change that filter out tomorrow, thanks.

Anyone got other ideas? Could it somehow be that this problem wasn't related to the injectors/pump at all? (I have no idea how, but I figured I'd ask.)
