10W-40 ? and extra ZDDP ?
Im thinking of going to 10W-40 "Maxlife" motor oil, maybe with a quart of Valvoline "Synpower" for its ZDDP.. that, or getting Redline "break in additive" IIRC these engines need more ZDDP, do they not?
I have Maxlife 10W-30 in there now.
10W-40 is good for this car? Yes im in a hot climate, i heard that matters, or it used to ?

I've been running 10W-40 all year round with a bottle of STP oil treatment for the extra ZDDP. I've never had any problems or metal in my oil.
