Give it a shot, but I'd say no. He's up 60hp and 2.5 seconds faster 0-60.

It'll be fun, no way in hell you'll win unless he just plain can't drive or doesn't try. Go for it though!

ya, sorry man but i think he might have u on this one. If u have a 5 sod and get a good jump u might hold until 40MPH. other than that ur gonna need a little more to take on a 3800....

Not a chance unless he stalls off the line.. Until I go to the point where I am at with mods I would not tackle the 3800.. Dan my buddy with a 99 V6 and his cat back runs 15's all day long and low 15's...

I'd say that if you raced him from a stop, no, you'd probably get spanked slightly. Remember, the idea of improvement means that GM has been trying to progress the cars farther, year by year, this is evident in the quarter mile times of the new v6's. They are quick cars. I did however beat one on the highway once, not sure what year, but it still had the window sticker, and a 40-50 year old guys driving it. IT was a sweet car, cherry red with gfx. NOw, i did pull on him, but just barely. I'm not sure how they're hp/tq is up high though.
