Help a fellow V6er out?

Ok i have a 3.1 bird and i big sub box in the back, it makes my car very slow and have bad gas miles. I know alittle about modifing our V6s, but not to much, can someone tell me mods for the V6 and explain what they are, and what it will take to put them on, i hear about all the mods you can do, but i have no clue as how to do them. thanks.

Yeah, Brian's site is a great start. To supplement it, take a look through posts on here.

Steven, how do you like those Tornado subs? Crutchfield has 'em on sale, $120/two, seems like a good deal!

Anyway, check out my Major Tuneup message that I just posted. That will get you on the start to better performance (or is that the road to financial ruin? heheh), and is basic enough for a first-time wrench swinger.

The Haynes 82-92 manual will help you a lot for $15.

Not a good idea. A person thats planning on making his/her car to be a street car never gots subs with boxes, too heavy. If I were you sell the subs and get a 10" bass tube. Thats what Im gettin

Hey there you guys are gonna think im crazy but I have 3 12" Fosgate power punch dvcs in a single sealed box and 3 Memphis 1000Ds all in the back. I havent noticed any performance loss in my car. If anything the extra weight helped some extra tracion cuz I run really small tires. 195/50s and my car is slammed pretty low. just wanted to drop my thpughts on the topic.

what ever you do with your system.... Bump it LOUD>>>>
