the ghost of starters past...
the ghost of starters past...
Oh boy did I screw the pooch on this one. Middle of finals week, should have driven home today, pulled an all nighter last night, fresh foot of snow on the ground, windchill all day in the neighborhood of 3*, and remember how my starter was acting just a little fuzzy before? IT'S DEAD. And of course, conditions outside aren't the greatest to work on it, so unless I can get one last crank out of it tomorrow (my battery is already dead, thank God for my roomie's Monte and jumper cables), it'll be going into the shop.
Does $150 including towing sound fair for my F-up?

that sounds pretty good, and the one year warrenty also. wow, a foot of snow, we've got about 4 inches, and it's still coming in St. Louis, i took the car out, going to school, hear that schools canceled turn the half donut(180*) like in gone in 60 seconds, and headed home to check the boards. Kinda sad huh. what an addiction
A little poem I composed watching my bird go away...
"I tear rolled down my face today,/
watching my Firebird dragged away through the snow,/
I might be bleeding from an *** -raping by noon,/
Because with mechanics you never know."
Did I mention I"m an english major?

Hah, that's awesome; I haven't heard "screw the pooch" in years.
Yeah, sounds like a decent price for avoiding lying on your back in the snow! I hate cold weather; I hate snow even more.
