They're doing their JOB. If you don't like it, leave. You'd see the same moderator action on a different message board, with different moderators. If you want non-tech discussion, use e-mail, or visit http://www.nethirdgen.org - that has been designated as the "offical" non-tech area.

Personally I wouldn't mind if moderators could DELETE worthless posts like this, because people always ask the same dumb question over and over and over again- "Why do they lock posts?" Geez.
