I keep seeing people talking about the 100 hundred dollar SLP take off, what ever that is. What is it? I'd rather get this than the powertrac for 300!

When you change to posi, do you just change out the rear gears? Or the whole rear end? I want Posi too, i'll need it for my 454 conversion later on down the line.

Overclck, good point- you'll have to check with SLP to see if your rear gears will work. They have different "carrier sizes" for gears. I think you need to buy a spacer if you have the wrong carrier. Call SLP, they should know- or ask in the Trans/Drivetrain section.

But otherwise, no, you don't need new rear gears. Some gear alignment stuff (like backlash, preload, etc) should probably be checked when the new unit's dumped in.
