Any engine parts that are lighter weight. Aluminum roller rockers, titanium valves, lighter flywheel/flexplate, and so on.

Re: Reving uop faster...?

Feed the engine cold fresh air from outside the car, with some large ducting [not half the stock goofy junk], low to no restriction air filter, straight shot exhaust, no axle loops or bends, look down it with a flash light and only see the turn up for the Y pipe way up by the motor.

And engine is an air pump, make it easy to get in and out, the computer will do the rest.

Re: Reving uop faster...?

You need to do a combination of things to get it to rev faster. There is no one item that will do it. While N2o will do the job, if you don't build your fondation it will still be able to rev faster. Just doing your fondation work will make a noticable improvement and doesn't cost a ton of money either.

Foundation work:
1. Most important make sure every thing is in top shape. Functioning but old parts are likely to hold you back if not fail all together.
2. Free up your intake
3. Free up your exhaust
4. Improve your ignition system (I.E. better wires and coil)
5. Replace ignition mod. with an Accel ignition mod.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-35370/ While it's not listed in the description it does not start reducing the spark energy after 3k RPM like the stock one does, and it improves throttle response. In fact it gives full spark strength till 9K. it is not smog legal for CA, but they can't tell difference and it does not effect smog levels. In fact it improved emmisions when I installed mine.

As mentioned before reduce weight in your rotating mass:
1. lighter connecting rods
2. lighter drive shaft
3. lighter fly wheel /flex plate (be careful with this one. if it's a daily driver and you have manual tranny. It will rev faster but it will spin down faster as well and can make sifting in trafic difficult)
4. N2O

If you want to go crazy:
1. Have your crank shaft lightened and have counter wights "Knife edged" so it cuts through the oil easier with less drag.
2. self lubricating micro coatings on internal friction parts of the engine. Such as crank shaft bearings, cam shaft bearings, piston skirts, etc.
3. reduce weight any ware possible, liek getting rid of passanger seats, lighter calipers, no spare tire, etc.
4. Custom ECM programing.
5. Forced induction. #4 is required for this one.
