Car dieing

Ok yesturday morning when i was inline to get into the school parking lot my car sputtred and died. then i cranked it and wouldnt start 5 mins later it started. Today i was driving and it felt like it was out of gas so i fllored it and it ran fine again but i have a fiull tank any ideas. i was thinking spark or fuel pump. Also i noticed my EGR gasked its leakin so im replaceing that and also after yesturday it has shifted hard from 2nd to third

Check your fuel Pressure. I once drove a 5 speed 88 Trans Am 305 TPI and it did something like that. SOmetimes it would start sopmetimes it wouldn't. Then if you got up to speen it would run like a bat at of hell, then when you stoped it would die. Long story short it ended up being the Fuel Pump

i think it might be my MSD after replaceing the gasket i go to start the car starts fine shut it off turn it back on all it would do is crank after 5 mins of tryin to start it i disconnect my MSD 6AL and hook it up to the coil started right iup went back to the MSD wouldnt start then i looekd at the wires and jiggled them started right up. Weird huh im on my way to radio shack for heatshirnk and wire solder and a soldering iron to redo the wires from bein crimped

Sounds like what my car did last year when the ignition coil went out. Took it to the shop they thought it was something in the fuel system so they put in a new fuel filter and something else I can't remember. Well to make a long story short the car didn't make it home so had to have it towed back and it was the coil.

Well the only thing you can do is start testing things. Check you ignition voltages. I believe there is a good article in the tech articles, check your fuel pressure, see what your plugs look like, and bypass your MSD and see if it changes anything. ALso it could be your ignition module so you can take it to like an AutoZone or something to get it tested. This is the problem with the newer cars, these problems can be so many different things and have the same symptoms
