Hi there, I had purchased a 91 rs 3.1 camaro that had been sitting fo 6yrs. The motor ran okay after i replaced a few parts ,clean the tank, replaced the fuel pump and so on. I ended swaping the motor out because the rings were bad on th original motor but know when i drive it it runs fine for about 5 to 10 min then it bogs down like it is out of timing. Someone told me to replace the knock sensor so i did. every other sensor has already been changed along with the ecm.
When we had put the new motor in and we set the timing the book said to diconnect a wire that goes to the dist. which we did but when we plug it back in it starts but shacks and doesnt stay running log. ANY HELP!!!!!

 

Im having the same problems wit my 91 firebird. i got it running again by replacing the ignition control module. It drove beautifully for a few days then crapped out on me again. we did the timing chain and now it'll idle perfect but when u give it gas it'll bogg out but we got good fuel pressure. i think it might b flooding out.
