Car just died
Well it started off like any other day.... i went to the junk yard no luck finding any parts that i needed so off my way back home. on the way home on the freeway i am hitting 80mph and suddenly car just dies..... rpm plunders down to zero... i merged to the right safely and tried to start the car again with no luck...... daddy came to save the day by pulling me home(lucky i was close). i started to inspect the car by looking at the spark plugs... i think there were burning to rich.... so fustrated i went to sleep with no plugs in the car.... next morning i plugged in the same spark plugs and vroom..... its alive..... take it to work.... work the whole day... clock out... turned on car vroom so ok but i stayed at idel talking to a friend to warm up the oil....then death again...PFF.... me and friend looked at engine and suspected no spark.... cuz it smelled of gas. i got a ignition coil and vroom alive.... so i decided to go get a msd ignition coil.... that lasted about a month and now going to work no more than 40mph death..... daddy one again had to haul my butt back home lucky right around the corner. frist thing i checked no spark.... check if coil had spark....nada..... is there something killing my coils so quick... timing is 10*... i got bosh platnum4 plugs. so i dunno what could be the issue... i might be leaning towards the alarm..... but nothing has changed snice i got the car with the alarm so i dunno... and suggestions????

Re: Car just died
Get rid of the Bosch plugs... They're overpriced and overhyped (just like every other spark plug out there, they only use 1 of the 4 side terminals). There was an ignition system recall on the 90-92 cars regarding the wiring harness, for starters, and second, take your ignition module to be tested. Then check your pickup coil in the dizzy.

Take your ignition module to AutoZone or somewhere that will test it... Test the dizzy by checking for a VAC signal coming out of the pickup coil with the module disconnected. You can't really test the wiring harness other than to open up the wire loom and look for rubbing wiring that's shorting out. Also check the connections on the wire with the black connector at the coil and the module as sometimes the wires may break at or near the connectors.
