Idling Problems?

My '92 Camaro ( 3.1 liter ) seems to be idling pretty rough, every time I come to a stop it idles irratically. Ocassionally the car even stalls out. I have checked all the computer codes, and evrything checks out fine. I have replaced the IAC sensor, TPS sensor, and the fuel filter. Some days the idle problem goes away and the car runs fine, other days the idle is really rough. Anyone have any ideas on what my problem could be? Anyone have a similar problem? Anyone know how to fix this? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in adavnce!

i can only help you with my own experiences. my digital EGR valve had the same symptoms. it wasn't bad but i guess some carbon would build up and not let the valves FULLY close when i'd come to a stop. exhaust gasses would re-enter the engine and the engine would start surging (rpms drop, surge, drop, surge) sometimes resulting in a stall out. you can either use fuel injector cleaner on a regular basis or (if you're brave) disassemble the mysterious digital egr and clean it(don't ask me how ). use the FI cleaner for a little while and see what happens....good luck.

oh yeah, welcome to the board.....i've found this to be one of the most helpful sites on the net so bring your problems to us instead of paying somebody
