Code 44 AND 45

Working on my uncles camaro that had some overheating issues. Come to find out it is actually not overheating and the gauge is actually off 40 degrees high. (going to replace the sending unit on the side of the block)
Anyways, I was driving it around today and the check engine light came on. I jumped pin 5 and 6 and got codes 44 and 45, O2 sensor lean, O2 sensor rich. How did it get both codes? I cleared the memory last night so I know they arent old stored codes. The camaro does seem to have an exhaust leak. Could this be why I got both codes?

This thing doesnt idle too smooth either, especially when in drive.

Re: Code 44 AND 45

Could be a bad O2 sensor.

Just replaced the temp sending unit on the front driver side of the head. Gauge is still wrong. Tracked down some exhaust noise. There is and exhaust leak on a flange that comes right up off the top of the exhaust manifold. Is that the EGR?

Some idiot broke off the backbolt on that flange. Got it out, going down to the hardware store to pick up a replacement. Also felt an exhaust leak at the back of the passenger exhaust manifold. Bad gasket? are these manifolds known to crack?
