I've even heard of big block conversion packages for bugs.. let's just not go down this path, it's as bad as imagining a fiero with a blown 454 peeking out the back..
And.. eh.. TTA, that's.. uhm.. really scary.. the way that tta is wretching those drag slicks... .. very.. very.. scary..

Putting a 350 in a bug would be like straping a rocket engine to a skate board

Anyone see the issue of hot rod where they crammed an old Cadillac V8 into a Chevette?
Those guys had some ***** to drive that thing- especially since there was no more firewall- the driver was right by the engine & trans.

I saw that one, Tom. That was, well, different to say the least.
I have to agree with TechSmurf about the TTA. I gotta find me one of those!

I once raced a bug with my TTA. He asked me to race, I guess he was setting someone else up for the bigh one. This bug's plate said VW KINGI and he had a lookalike bug there also with VW KINGII. Right before we lined up, KINGI stopped and turned his nitrous on. We lined up and both left together, raced for a 1/8 mile and he stayed right next to me all the way, I beat him by 3 feet. This bug ran low 8's in the 8th mile just like I did.
You can neveer tell what's in some of these cars anymore. This bug I knew so it wasn;t a surprise.
Monkie, get the bug and build the VW motor up and win some money to buy that TTA.
Pete
