Is there anyway to lay hands on a rear defroster?

I need a rear defroster for my five speed. Is there a site that deals in this sort of thing? For some reason the guy that purchased the car originally didn't get a defroster put in. So I will have to wire it up, if I can find one. I would try to salvage one but all the yards near me have 0 thirdgen parts.

There are kits you can buy that have the orange lines all together - it is like tape, I guess. Then you hook power up to the little connector on one side, ground the other side, and rig a switch. I am pretty sure that is how it goes. Last time I saw one, it was pretty common in the parts store, and was around $35.

Let me educatate you, the hard way.
That back glass lid is SO LARGE & HEAVY! It's one of the largest pieces of glass GM ever designed for an automobile.
Keep looking locally, the shipping will kill you.
I'm sure there are some out here in SoCal, but, the shipping, packaging, handling will kill ya.
Honest, don't really mean to rain on your idea , but, man, shipping really kills a lot of ideas!
Ask an insurance agent if he knows of any yards you may not have asked yet.
Good luck, but, keep searching locally!

If aftermarket defroster kits exist, I'd assume they'd be generic type.. and assuming this, the camaro has one of the BIGGEST chunks of glass on the back that exists on any car.. you may have trouble finding a generic aftermarket kit with that kind of heating ability.. if a custom aftermarket kit exists, hopefully it works better than stock.. god knows my stock defroster grid can dim my headlights and still takes forever to start defrosting.. usually automatically turns off before it even puts a dent in the frost, and this is in arizona.. rigging a low power hair drier with an invertere may prove to be cheaper, more effective, and will warm your interior too! (kinda kidding on that last part.. it'd be a little too *******, even for me)

Defrosters? What'r those? Oh, the things I don't use... I rarely use my back window. That's what the side mirrors are for!
