no electrical to anything 85 2.8

i just cleaned the maf in my 85 2.8 mpfi, and as i predicted the maf sensor needs replacing cleaning didnt make a difference but now after reconecting my battery and everything is back together my engine turned over and died twice and then all my electricals went i switch my ignition over to on and nothing happens the only way i can test my battery is to take a piece of metal with 2 points in my case a pair of plyers and touch one end to the negative terminal and the other end to my a piece of metal, so i did that and it sparked but my terminals are tight and nothing all my fuses are in tact aswell any thoughts help

Um thats hardly a reliable or accurate method of testing a car battery, just take it to an advanced auto or autozone and theyll test it for you free.

Check ALL of the battery cable connections... If the one on the starter is loose, the whole system shuts off. And then check the connection where the smaller wire from the positive cable runs to the junction block behind the pass side headlight, which feeds the ECM, fuel pump, and a bunch of other things.
