rear hatch pull down problems

There have been days in the past where my pull down mech has stopped working but usually if I just wait a few hours it will start working again. Well last week it crapped out for good. So I pulled the mech out and tried it in my other camaro to make sure it wasn't just a wire, when I noticed the that the little black box with the four pins in it that connects the harness to the mech was melted. I am fairly sure that if I can find one of those little suckers I can fix it. Does anyone have a crapped out mech that they are willing to sell the box off of? This would really help me out I don't have $300 bucks to by a whole new mech.

That "little black box" is just a little relay you can pick up at a parts store.. I can get you a part number later today.. got the part number taped to mine (which turned out to not be the problem with mine, the mechanical unit is shot), which I replaced my A/C high blower relay with.. convenient interchangability =P

Thanks tech I really didn't want to have to buy a $300 part for a stupid little relay.
