i plan to have these mods done by begining to mid of summer.CCS Preformance Chip, underdrive pulleys, Crane Camshaft, crane valve springs, crane roller rockers, Free Flow or no CAT, 160-180 degree thromostat, and i think that is it. What kind of Horsepower do you think i will be pushing, oh yea, i already have Custom Ram air, w/ a K&N filter, and flowmaster Single in Dual out Exhaust. those are the only mods have has as of right now, i'm guessing my HP is about 145-150 right now, any guesses about what it will be if i do all this. thanks.

Your stock HP and TQ for that year is 140 and 180 respectivly. All those mods should put you in very low 16's or very high 15's. There's a guy on this board with a very very similar setup as you're sugesting and he's running 16.1's with an auto. Here's the breakdown for each mod you're sugesting:
Chip: 5hp
Pullies: 4hp
Cam/Springs/Rockers: 40hp
Exhaust: 6hp
Thermo: 1hp

plus whatever you already have. Just go figure 200 hp at the crank, so about 160 at the rear wheels. Not too bad... I'm also trying to be realistic about the numbers. They could be higher! Correct me if i'm wrong anyone! later...

85 2.8L Sport Coupe 5-speed.
Mods: Hpertech chip and powerstat, MSD 6A-L, Crane fireball coil, Dynomax hi-flow cat and catback system with a dynomax magnum race bullet muffler on the i-pipe, K&N filterchargers, Eibach and Tokiko springs/shocks setup, Global west sub frames, Suspension techniqs front and rear sway bars, and good ole 88 IROC wheels with Kumo Ecstas on em!

Hey! I've got that radio and all that junk (and trust me, mine's probably heavier.. 2x10 and 2x4 vertical construction with 3/4" MDF horizontal sheets, well over the 150 lb mark.. the lift kit in my rear is to bring me back to stock ride height) and I run 18's with a leaky cyl and mods barely worth mentioning! I mean.. you'll prolly end up mid 16's with the weight and those mods, so it'll just bring you above stock empty weight performance =P

'86 Camaro SC, black /w silver racing stripes
2.8l MPFI/700r4 /w special 2nd gear delete option
In search of new v8 engine & transmission, now contemplating t5 swap to get me out of this mess.
MSD coil, Accel 8mm wires, SplitFire plugs, Gabriel hijackers, possible performance chip I don't know about.. gotta crack open the ECM and check sometime

MSD Coil
Accel 8.8MM Wires
K&N Conical Setup

Dynomax Cat back

Yep, around 40 or so horses for all those things joe_L. Gotta remember that the things u do to the inside of the motor help a whole lot more than what u can do outside the motor, except a blower and what not. It may be even higher than 40 hp net gain. But the cam and rockers i'm refering to is the crane compucam 2020. Go to cranecams.com and just follow through the site, u'll get to a parts page which shows everything and optional thing u can get with the cam kit. The cam kit (includes the cam, lifters and lube) runs for about 160 at summit. Only problem is installing it! ahh... hehe, payce...

I hear you, thanx for the info, I'll go check this all out, I sure could do with
40 more HP...

I don't mean to be annoying, but how will the computer in the car deal with this, will resetting it change its diagnostics, or will you need a chip to make up for the differences???(with the cam, springs etc.)
