Buick 3.8 V6

Would it be possible to throw this engine (TTA) or something similar into a 91 firebird V6 without having to change around the entire car like you would if you threw in a V8? Maybe w/ supercharged? Any guesses as to how much/labor? Just pondering ways to get power without having to rip apart the car.

Actually what you would have to do would be to get a Turbo TA and get all the parts out of it. This includes full wiring harnes guages, fuel pump, just about everything. Yea hes right if its not an 89 bird the next time your up for testing your car will be taken off the road and you will be shot on spot for modifying your car. J/k

I have seen camaro's with the buick/pontiac turbos 3.8's and they haul a$$. try mid 13's in the 1/4....the same time slips for the Iroc of the same time...Interesting huh? Try adding a stronger bottom end, pistons, cam, T-4 turbo, and an intercooler...'but 2500 bucks, but your into the mid-lower 10's...not bad for a 6er huh?...and not to mention you are lighter than the 8er's...

Turbo V6's were 13.5 stock, some got into low 13s from the factory but not many of them, what the hell there were only 1555 f-bodies that had them from stok. Anyways they are not worn out.

the 3.8 is definately a pain in the *** swap. If you are planning on doing that much fabrication, why not just throw in the 350. Unless you are loyal to the v6 which is understandable. I love my 3.8.
