ignition upgrade

I got a 92 3.1 rs and I was thinking of getting an ignition amp and coil. What brand does everyone recomend and which one gives you the most bang for your buck. Also how much of a difference should i expect to feel if any, in hp and tourque

First, I would suggest underdrive pulleys, and something more dramatic for your intake, but if you're bent on Ignition, I'm personally a big fan of Accel.

I run an Accel 300+ multi-spark with Accel remote mount coil, Accel 8mm wires, Accel cap and rotor, and spiltfire plugs. Up until a few days ago, this combo kicked ****.

I have the Accel 8.8MM Wires, MSD Coil, and Accel Ignition Box... The Coil I noticed the car pulled harder and faster, but the Box I did not notice...

I use the 8.8 Accel.
It made no difference, as the previous plug wires were basically new & good.
I use the Accel remote mounted coil.
THAT'S GREAT.
The BEST bang for buck, is rebuild your current distributor, put in all new electronics. Then go forward with the goodies.
If your plug wires are still good, leave them.
After you do the ignition goodies, then you can use cheap plugs again. I use $.99 ones or $.79 ones. Actually, with the swap I did, I media blasted the old autolites and reused them!
The hi spark ignition system, will now ignite any plug, to its peak performance.
Rebuild the distributor is the best effort.
Adding anything and having a weak link under the cap is inviting trouble. Those electronic little parts do not last forever.

Reno,
tell me you've got success!!
I'm rooting for ya!!
