Finally got my car back...

..I got it on Tuesday. The oil leak is officialy fixed.Same for my idle problem.
For some reason it wouldn't pick up very quick.I would put it to the floor and it just wouldn't go.
Iasked these MORONS if they set the timing..they said "uh....yeah".They set it for 10 degrees alright..but didn't unhook the ESC.
I broke out the in-laws(to be) timing light and reset it.Damn......you would think someone poured nitrious straight into the gas tank.Funny how a little bit of work on a intake, upper plenum and lower plenum with a dremel would do.
This is the best my RS has ever run!
I have the chance to get a limited slip 3:73 gear but I'm still trying to get that 3:73 posi.
Decisions,decisions......oh well!I can't catch the guy who has the posi, but the guy who has the limited is a good friend.

Just wanted to share this with friends I'v been sick as hell since Tuesday and this is the first day I've felt good.
See ya guys!

Great to hear, Kevin! Congrats! (I love how they timed it with the EST hooked up!)

Where would you say you did the most grinding on your intake manifold & plenum? Did you unshroud the injectors at all (on the intake manifold)? Looks like 1/2 of each injector hole is a hole, while the other 1/2 is unobstructed (cut away).

The area where the injector shoots inside the intake,we made it alittle smoother and more direct. The injector shoots the fuel in and it more or less hits a flat spoit.Thats what we took off. It's kinda hard to explain with out the intake infront of me.The rest of the grinding we just gasket matched.

Yes! That's the spot I was talking about! It's almost shaped like a "C", right? Where the "C" is where the fuel shoots through, and the "(" part of the "C" looks like it interferes?

If they are the same thing then why does one wheel spin on the limited slip?I thought a limited slip rear end sent power to the wheels that grip? And a posi sent power to both?

Tom,thats the spot. The injector points almost right at it.We ground the area down to make it more of a direct shot into the valve area.I don't know if it realy did help or if it's just me knowing, and hoping, for and power increase. But to me it seems like aworld of difference.

Great, thanks! Since you had success with the port job, I think I agree; grinding that spot down probably didn't hurt! Sometimes I wonder why GM casts things the way they do...

They were probably laughing when they did the castings.
