Oil Leaks Suk
Oil Leaks Suk
My car is in the shop again for an oil leak, center linkage, and new belts. This is the 2nd time my car's oil leaked. Am I driving my car too hard? Or is my car just a P.O.S.?

The seals are probably just getting old. Where's the oil leak? Distrib? Valve Covers? And the center link wears out eventually, as does the idler arm, so that's normal- both mine have been replaced already.

The leak is either a valve cover or something behind the intake. I don't think it's the dist. cuz i had a leak there already and I fixed it. Well I don't know, who knows maybe its something simple I can fix myself(I hope)!

My car has been in the shop since monday morning. It is leaking oil and anti-freeze. It is going to cost $900. Does that sound right?? I've only had the car for 4 weeks. This sucks.

My camaro only needs the oil leak fixed now. I changed the belts and the idler arm. I'm hopefully getting the oil leak done thursday or friday. Oh yeah, my car's shocks are so bad I can't have anyone in the back seat or it will bottom out on every bump. My sh*ter's like 1/2" off the ground. There goes some more money
Money gladly spent on my f-body. Better on that than on drugs, right??

On the rear suspension note, two reccomendations.. first, replace your coil springs as well as the shocks.. if it's that close to the ground they're both dead. Second, now is the time to figure if you're raising the back end of your car or dropping the whole thing.. will influence your choice of springs and shocks. If raising, I reccomend Gabriel Hijackers.. it's nice to be able to adjust your ride height and suspension stiffness by just adding/draining air.

MSD coil, Accel 8mm wires, SplitFire plugs, Gabriel hijackers, possible performance chip I don't know about.. gotta crack open the ECM and check sometime

I'm just gonna get stock z-28 shocks and struts put on. I can't keep this car. It's killing my bank. I'm gonna sell it as soon as I can to get a 91-92 firebird(V-6 ofcoarse). I'm gonna mod the hell out of it. It's gonna be the most custom firebird around here. I think i'll also be on the lookout for a small compact car for everyday driving. I Drive about 100 mi. a day and i don't want that milage on my cool car
