Got some serious issues. Someone please direct me in the right way.

Had the engine apart a little to replace some gaskets and what not. I only went down to the intake manifold and didn't even take that off. Well anyways I finally got her together and she will NOT run right for the life of it. I've replaced many part. Dis cap and rotor, egr valve, pcv valve, gaskets, plugs, wires, thermostat. So pretty much shell start and idle alright. A little to high (around 1500) but she still idles. Sometimes it's a little lopey sounds like a deep sound. Dnt know how to describe it. But as soon as I took her out to go around the block she sounded horrible. Real low sounding almost sounding like she wasn't firing. And then she stalled out on me. Couldn't get her started. Let her sit and then she started again! Was able to get her in the garage and she sat ther and idled like normal again. Now the only thing I got leading me somewhere is a code 34. I replaced the maf but it's still doing it. Could someone give me any and every possible idea what it could b so I can check everything? I need to get her fixed ASAP because I have someone who's looking to buy her. Please and thank you!

Oh and the iac was replaced 2 years ago.

Did you remove the distributor? If so, did you replace it when engine was at TDC on compression stroke? The are 2 strokes, exhaust and compression - simply lining up balancer at zero mark doesn't get TDC on compression stroke (as it could be on exhaust stroke).

I didn't remove the distributor. Just the cap and rotor. Could I have messed it up just by doing that?

If my timing is wrong (maybe previous owner ****ed with it) could that some how cause the code 34 tho? Or maybe my timing chain is bad?

Yes. You need to make sure everything went back the way it came off. Especially the spark plug wires to make sure the firing order is correct. Check the manual but I think it's 1-2-3-4-5-6. You need to know which is number one on the dist. Also, on the code 34, did you make sure all vacuum lines are reconnected? Especially to MAP sensor.

My timing was way off because the distributor hold down bolt was a little loose. I had a nice cammed 350 sound to my exhaust when the timing was at 0º or maybe +2º instead of -10º.
Definitely check your spark plug wire routing since you took them off. I changed the plug wires on my truck one time and read the routing diagram for one side of the engine upside down so the wires on that side were backwards. It idled fine but backfired when I hit the throttle.

My car sounds cammed 2... I checked the timing and it was about 7* btdc when it's suppose to b 10 obv. Could that be causing my probs? Oh and I found two houses going to the canister that weren't hooked up. Must of pulled them while leaning in the car.

Re: Got some serious issues. Someone please direct me in the right way.

The car is an 89... No MAP, it's got a MAF sensor. Reconnect the hoses to the canister and then disconnect the battery to reset the ECM. Those hoses are a vacuum leak, and MAF cars hate vac leaks more than MAP cars do.

Oh, and check to make sure that the plug wires are on right. Don't know why, but I usually ended up switching 2 of them...
