fuel line

how can I tell that I have a fuel leak, the self diagnostic shows no codes except for 35(IAC), that cant be the cause for 8 miles per gallon. Its gotta be something else. I did a tune up (every thing except for the distributor cap). could the ignition timing be the problem, please tell me the possible causes so that I can check them?

An internal leak, as in, leaking injectors? You'd need a fuel pressure gauge for that.. they're about $40-$50; you need the high pressure one (0-100 psi). The low pressure ones are only good for carbureted and TBI injected engines; -not- MPFI or TPI.

Ignition timing's part of the tuneup procedure; it could definately have an impact on both power & economy, as well as the dist. cap.
