Is this AM or PM when the white smoke happens?
Morning is condensation. Normal.
PM is possible signs of a worn head gasket, and loosing fluid in the combustion chamber.
Have one of the mechaincs at you Dad's place do a couple of simple tests, that they know of.
Keep an eye on the radiator fluid level!
Nasty smell could be just living in Maryland! J/K!
It could be the water hitting the CC and the reaction to it, especially in the hot humid days. I had a 1975 Vega do that, it smelled of rotten eggs. It was the Convertor & the humid days.

aight thx, ill have em look at it when they fix the door and such. its just one of those little things that are embaressing could a head gasket problem cause a decrease in performance? my friends 93 BMW 318 is 5 spd with just an intake and exhaust beat me by a car length last nite and that is just a little inline 4!

That is regardless. That BMW w/ the inline four would of beat you even if you didn't have a blown head gasket. The BMW's have a blue printed & balanced inline engine, of course it would beat a 60 degree V6, that's straight up common knowledge.
Also of course you are going to loose power by having a blown head gasket.
Also why the hell would you race your car when you have a blown head gasket. While that gasket is blown are you not supposed to drive it cause water is now in your oil.

I have driven cars with bad head gaskets.
My S-10 Blazer is that car.
It finally gushed chocolate milk all over the engine compartment.
I'm fixing it now, but, I did drive it for a bit.

You might not want to start the motor up and then rev it...
