3.4 mpg
Wow, that's awesome. I would love to get 20mpg out of my 2.8L.

Once you get over the joy of the new found power, you'll start to learn to harness it towards your favor.
You can do this with any size engine.
I mean, learn to drive with an egg on the gas pedal, especially, at the trafic lights and after you get up to coasting speed.
I've increased my milage by about 2-4 miles, I'm sure. But with LA traffic, just keeping up, keeping them from cutting in front of ya, dodging bullets (LOL).
In the end, I benefitted so much more, than just increased gas milage, my swap was so totally worth it!
I mean, I have impressed the editor of Car Craft magazine with this swap project
!
I can say that highway milage is way up there, now, tho.

I've heard that a vacum leak can cause low gas milage. Why would that cause low gas milage? And if you do have a vacum leak thats causing low MPG, where would you start to look and how would you fix it? Thanks!
Last week I got 22.5 mpg from my 305. Then again it was premium gasoline. I even drove like a madman. I love dusting cars that seem to follow me. Its so fun. I did it today to a Geo, my god it was crazy.
