Does anybody know if the offset on a 89 firebird 2.8l is the same on the front and back? Am I able to rotate my back rims to the front so I don't need to dismont the tires?
thnks

If you have stock 15" rims you should be able to rotate the rims and tires front to back. I think only 16" rims are front and back specific. Usually there is a "F" or "R" on the rim if it is front or rear specific.

I'll bet, you need not worry.
The "Bigger engine" cars had those type of tires, from the factory.
The 2.8s & such, just had the simple stuff, until we got ahold of them!!

When ya swap the wheels, make sure you put some oil on the wheel studs.
Helps make the lug nuts go on easier and also come off, easier. NOT SPRAY STUFF, motor oil, thick stuff. A film, few drops, etc.
NO, the lug nuts will NOT loosen while driving!
I've been doing this for years. I swap my own wheels and tires, a friend mounts and balances tires for me.
IF ya change/rotate wheels, every 5,000 miles, the wear pattern is great!

Good sugestion. I use Anti-seize, Never-seize(whatever it is). Its great stuff. If I take anything apart, it goes back together with that. I just thought I'd recommend it. Its about $15-20 a can, but you could take every nut and bolt out of your car an coat it, and the can would still have some in it.

Anti seize is good stuff... use on lugs, caliper bolts, exhaust studs and any other high heat/high rust nut-bolt.
