Tearing plug wires

Anybody have a problem with this when changing spark plugs? Seems like every time I chang the plugs, I rip the little copper cap that conects to the plug out from the wire boot. Only realy happens to about 2 or 3 of the wires. So ive gotten used to buying a set of wires with my plugs. Ive tryed to lube up the conectors with that KY for spark plugs grease one gets from a parts store. But that didnt work either. The next time I would change the plugs, the same thing happenes. Any suggestions?

Quality wires.... I have had Accel and ow Crane wires and never had one rip. Now I buy a tube of dieletric greese. Fill the wire with it and it oozes out as I put them on. I also use the factory heat sheilds for the wires and not once has one ever ripped.

Yea, it's common. Even on the good ones,if ya not careful.
How is this problem solved?
I'd like to try the spark plug boot puller pliers trick, to see if it works.

I always use the dielectric grease on the boots. Once, my MSD 8.5mm wires burnt on the plugs, and the boots ripped- I had used dielectric to install 'em, and yes, I was twisting/turning the boot as I was pulling them off.

MSD replaced them for me for free. It's never happened again; must've been a defect, I guess.

Always pull on the boot, not the wire, and twist the boot as you go. Remember, lube the inside of the boot, not the spark plug terminal, with the dielectric.
