Looking for engine advice
OK guys, before anyone starts flaming I'll explain. I have been through the forums using search and scrolling through about the first 100 of them. I already have a ton of things to work on. I am really just looking for a little feedback on what everyone thinks needs to be done next. Maybe someone has had a similar situation.
My wife and daughter went and picked up a '92 Camaro RS 3.1L V6. Drove it home from 250 miles away. I have replaced the coolant temp sensor, tps (one bolt was broken off in the TB), air filter, fuel filter. I plan to pick up new cap and rotor, plugs and wires, O2 sensor and IAC today. Idle set screw was pegged up to 1300 RPMs (I assume to keep the engine from stalling at start up).
Here is the problem: I have to crank it twice(or 4-5 times) before it catches (with a little light pressure on the pedal). Acceleration from start is crappy, it hesitates and sputters until RPMs get to 2200 or so. At higher speeds it runs pretty good. It is also running pretty rich now that I lowered the idle to about 700 RPMs (used the idle set screw to do this, tell me if I am off the mark with this).
One more issue (found this in the forum too - but I could use clarification). The PO's mechanic jumped the relay to keep the cooling fan on. The wire melted part of the relay and harness so I want to fix this to get the cooling fan running on demand correctly.

When's the last time a full tune up was done?
What is your fuel pressure?

Re: Looking for engine advice
I do have receipts from them for plugs, wires, fuel filter that were purchased in 8/2010. These look new/fine so I may not replace them.
I have to get a fuel pressure tester.
