V6 Hesitation and Shutoff

I purchased a 1989 Camaro 2.8l v6 today and I need to figure out what is causing the following problem...

First off when cranking the car it hesitates as if there is no spark then after a few turns of the motor it starts fine... It idles fine but when the gas is pushed it bogs down a little then catches back up... but if I leave it idling to long it shuts off randomly...

I live in Sparks, NV if anyone around there wants to help me out...

Get yourself a GM fuel pressure tester, the connection is back by the distributor cap. The pressure should be about 36psi while the engine is running, & about 42psi when the engine is off. It should also hold pressure after the engine is off.

You should be able to get one for around $35 at the big chain stores like autozone, advance auto, ect.

Re: V6 Hesitation and Shutoff

I'd try cleaning up the throttle body as well, esp around the IAC.

Possibly still running the stock Multec injectors? Lots of threads on them...
