What is the correct degree of timing for a 91 3.1

I think i figured out what was wrong with my 3.1 and why the power is way out of wack. I believe the timing is off big time. It does not even feel like it has half the power it used to. I dont think it is anything wrong with the engine, sensors, or tranmission cause they all work and idle great but i think it has something to do with the engine timming. I can pull out and floor my car and it does like 20 in 10 seconds. The power band has dropped alot and i was wanting to know what degree of timing to set my car to and how to do it all perfectly?

10 is correct!!
IF ya put light on the balancer & you SEE IT JUMP WILDLY!!
you need new chain.

IF ya advanced the timing (like I did, just twist distriburtor toward firewall-no need for light or special methds, just twist) & get more power smoother car, that's a band aid!
