Yeah it is possible and yeah its been done to a 510 and afew other cars... TT 2.8L. If i remember correctly it had around 400+ hp but for under $2001, i am not sure bout that unless he does all the work/tuning/and other himself. He will need to get a custom exhuast setup to hook into the turbos, custom headers, custom computer program. Fuel management is going to be a major concern. The block can handle it fine. I really wish people would do some homework before they say "well i dunno if the block can handle it" Actually the stock crank and rods will be fine, the pistons WILL need to be forged, the block itself will be fine as long as the compression is realistic and the thing gets fuel/air in the 14.7:1 range. His major concern is gonna be a rearend and tranny that will hold the power. I have never heard of a 2.8L to 3.4L crank snapping and the rods are GM 350 5.7" rods that are necked down at the wrist pin, or atleast the 3.1L ones are. He was talking about doing a 4.3 or a 3.8L.... might as well pop a 350 into it, same bellhousing/tranny and it would be a heck of alot cheaper. In a carb setup - get a engine/tranny combo - the TH350 requires a 75.00 plate, be sure to get the airpump, alt, ac, starter PS pump on the engine too. replace the passenger side brakeline with a v8 one or fab one, install the motor mounts, replace the front springs with V8 springs, install V8 donor radiator, install engine/tranny. Install the exhuast manifolds and y pipe off the donor car. Hook up the tranny mount, hook up your cat back <---- yes the same one is used in V8 and V6. Install the v8 drive shaft (altho it should be the same too) rig up your throttle cable. Test your fuel pressure - FI is about 40+psi, install regulator to cut it to 6.5psi, install carb. Wire up tach to distributor, install speedo cable, Start and spend days working out the bugs.... Its really not that simple, but it can be done in about a good LONG weekend if you have a donor car next to the project. Honestly it is easier to just go out and buy a 80 to 88 305 car and put a 350 into it... Total cost including car would be 5K or less i bet for a 14 sec runner....

Actually, if the boost is kept under 10psi you can get way with the stock combination but maybe need to customize the chip. Design1systems - http://www.design1systems.com/turbo/index.html
makes such a kit for the Fiero which allows the user to retain all the stock engine equipment. If the boost is increased then of course, it's a whole new ballgame! I'm not sure what the AR rating of those dodge turbos are but for what he's trying to accomplish having he'll need to boost control them with some wastegates if their not built in.
