Supercharger Kit for 2.8L's....

Ok, I know that it's meant for th Blazer's and S-10's, but I see no reason why it couldn't be easily adapted for our uses. Someone else post som info.

The ROOTs type is a K & F (the "F" is that guys last name) superchareger.
Came out in the EARLY 80's. Cost like $2500 then (high cost due to CARB certification process). Then they came upon the 4.3 conversion (before the factory did that) for about 1/2 the price of the 2.8 Superc. Same torque power levels.
A while back I saw one of the K & F superc. at a swap meet. The guy wanted $500 for it.
BUT, now the hot skinny is the 3.4 swap.
All power, best of the best, nothing sticking out saying, "I'm a surprise, watch my lights!".
AND the 3.4 doesn't run as hot as a supercharged engine.
I can't wait for the tranny & getting a posi set up. I'm miss Jennifer!
The K & F was also used on the 2.8 in Jeeps, too.

Well, yes & no.
How?
Physically it will fit. BUT, you need a carb to make it run. IT is not designed for a fuel injection system.
NOW, if ya wanna buy it (last time I saw them, back in the 80's it was $2500) go ahead.
But, that's a pricey experiment.
You will also have to chop up a good hood, too.

No thank you i like my hood without a hole in it. Ya, thats the bad thing w/ root type superchargers. Anyway, has anyone seen an application w/ a centripical supercharger that would fit our 2.8 mpfi engines thanks

Yes and no.
Vortec & Grantelli (Paxton) fit that request easy.
I've just never seen it done.
I'm sure it has been, tho.

I was just inquiring about your superchargers. I was wondering if you had an application to fit my 85 camaro 2.8 litre MPFI engine? If you do please email me back and if you had pictures of the set up.. And also could you sent me a price list to. Thanks! Please reply because i'm looking for a supercharger......
