v6 intake, 92 RS

So a friend of mine has a late model bird with a v8, he attached a K&N filter right onto the intake above the serpentine belt. Does anyone know of a filter i could do the same with?

Pictures would be awesome, i'm not mr. mechanic and pics help me identify what i need.

Thanks guys.

really the best for looks and preformance in my mind is going to a junk yard and finding a dual snorkle intake off a 80's camaro.. i bought one for 15$$ and it bolts right in and looks great.... itll supply enough air for any v6... just my opinion though...the intake is black now just to you dont say...jezzz that red looks dumb..

The dual snorkel intake is a cold air intake that most of us v6 camaro owners are fortunate to have. By putting a filter right at the TB you would be sucking hot air into the engine creating a decrease in performance.

Re: v6 intake, 92 RS

just remember when you put it in that your gonna need either the black tube that has a MAF sensor in it or make on out of pvc..remember 3.1l have no MAF sensor we have a MAP... for the gap between the rubber houseing that comes off the throttle body to the dual snorkle ...you can see it on the pic i put up.its the hard plastic tubing.. thankfully i found a 88 camaro that basically had the whole engine intact so i just picked what i needed...your also going to have to extend your air sensor that is in yout factory air "canister" ...just extend the wire... its totally worth the 30 min it takes to hook everything up...and it looks good too!!!!
