Handling?

What are some things I could do on a budget to make my Camaro handle better?

GO GET A Z-28 suspension from the wrecking yard. Or a WS-6. Including the shocks. Sway bars are almost free in the yard. Try that in the aftermarket world!

My car has the F-41 suspension package. My sway bars are thicker than a 1990 Z-28. I got real lucky!! My shocks have 110,000 miles on
them and very very good ride!
It's better tires that I am weak on and I do want a SFC (sub frame connector). My car flexes like a girl without a bra

They come with sway bars, but they're tiny compared to the Z28 or WS6 bars. I switched from the factory RS bars to WS6 ones. What a difference. It feels like I have 2 extra tires under the car!

Don't buy just the sway-bar and shocks, you need the sway-bars and the springs thats the main difference on WS6/Z-28/F41 equipped cars then buy some good shocks elsewhere ( KYB, bilstien )

ALL modern cars have "sway bars".
Some are a different type, that others.
I did not include the springs as they are a pain to remove.
IF one is not happy, after doing all that conversion work, then ya can get newer springs with the money saved by using wrecking yard stuff, already.
That was my reasoning behind my thoughts on this.
IT SEEMS every car has all the parts for that conversion upgrade idea (holes to mount sway bars). The Z & the WS stuff also have poly end link bushings (on sway bars), too! GRAB THOSE ALSO!

I would get lower control arms. $77-150 Then I would get a panhard rod $99, then a urethane bushing kit, 139....

I paid 75 bucks for a set of Iroc sway bars... Its handles great with that alone. I am planning on getting the car lowered 1.5-2 inches. that will help too... still tring to find a good set of shocks/struts.

Some things I have done, I ahve begun Urethane Bushings... Nice change, cause they are new and not cracked and worn out, then a wonder bar, that was nice and only 15 bucks, and reduce some of your cars weight...

Support your local wrecking yards.
They are the ORIGINAL RECYCLERS!
Make sure you buy every little piece, even the ones you think you may not use. Extra nuts and bolts always come in real handy.
