Good News!!!

Talked to my best bud bud in MD, and he says he can give me a turbo for FREE! It's off a turbo 4 rustang (2.3l should work) but still, it's FREE will probably end up putting it between the engine & radiator, put the exhaust manfolds on oposite sides, use pvc to model exhaust route, and go from there. No x55Cam, I have not read those books yet, but breaking stuff is cool!

Also, He and his friend are going to score me a rebuilt 400 poncho mill, leaving me with 3 choices on that:
1)wait for the 307 in my 87 Regal to die
2)keep it under wraps until a new project comes up or
3)Put it in the firebird if the turbo 6 blows up

I'LL TAKE THAT 400 PONCHO BLOCK ANY TIME!!
I'll have my Brother pick it up!
Was it from a regular Pontiac or a special version 400?
To make the turbo start to work, look at where it came from (the ford) for design ideas and installation ideas. See if you can get the intake/exhaust manifolds too.
Good luck, is the welding tank full?

I still have the origonal 400 block from my 77 T/A down there if you want it heads are with me, 10 hrs closer.
As for welding, never tried it, but there is the poor mans welder:
battery, jumpercables, and a pocket full of change

I might have someone at speedy muffler do it.

Oh yah, KED85, the color of the car is "FROST BEIGE", pretty gay sounding if ya ask me.

I'll ask my Brother if he can use the Poncho block.
I too have that frost beige color.
I like it.
Why?
It blends in with traffic, not making me stand out to the Ca. Highway patrol when ever I am doing over the speedlimit!
Check under your back seat, driver side. Bet you may find the build sheet, too.
That's where mine was located.
For real fun, install the 400 under the Firebird hood!!
VERY fond memories of Firebird 400s. Especially my old 1968 HO 400/TH400 I used to drag/street race in Van Nuys in the 80's.
