front Struts

Is it possible to do change my front struts in my own driveway in stead of going to a shop??

That depends.

On one hand if the front springs are seprate from the struts it is no problem. Simple follow the instructions type deal. Just read the instructions in the Haynes manule. On my '92 RS it was a breaze. Took and 2 and half hours do to a bolt the refused to come off, but my struts were bad for about 5,000 miles. So it's no wonder I ran into a little difficulty.

If the springs are around the struts life gets a little more difficult and cause bodily harm. If the springs are around the sturt you will need a spring compresor inorder to remove. In this case I would just take them to have them done. The thought of one of those srpings flying off and smacking me the head is scary.

Yep, it's possible, but you will need an alignment afterwards. Also, you should use a torque wrench- this is one part you don't want to "guess at" bolt tightness. The lower strut-to-knuckle bolts are spec'd for 200 ft/lbs.
